Euro 6 Temsa Prestij MD1CS069 AdBlue + DPF + EGR Removal Software (2021+)
On 2021-onwards Temsa Prestij midibuses with the Bosch MD1CS069 ECU, we switch off AdBlue, DPF and EGR in software over a remote connection, not with an emulator. The ECU case is never opened, the job takes about 30 minutes and comes with a lifetime warranty, and the engine system warning and AdBlue injection stop for good.
The Temsa Prestij spends most of its day full of passengers: staff shuttles in the morning, school runs, weekend tours, airport transfers. On 2021-onwards models the engine is run by a Bosch MD1CS069 ECU, with AdBlue (SCR), a DPF and EGR all working together in the exhaust line. When any one of them develops a fault, the dashboard lights up with the engine system warning (MOTSİS), and power restriction follows close behind. A loaded shuttle stuck at the roadside costs the owner reliability and, often, contracts. Emulators have been tried on these vehicles, but on Prestijs fitted with one the system warning refuses to clear and the ECU carries on injecting AdBlue. We take a different route: AdBlue, DPF and EGR are switched off directly in the engine ECU software. Nothing extra is fitted to the vehicle, and the ECU case is never opened.
How Does It Work?
The work is done over a remote connection and takes about 30 minutes; the engine ECU case is never opened. Once connected, we switch off AdBlue dosing, DPF monitoring and regeneration logic, and EGR control in the ECU software, and we disable the fault monitoring tied to those systems. Then every temperature sensor on the exhaust line, the NOx sensors and all of the AdBlue pump plugs are removed. The vehicle runs without them: the ECU no longer looks for these parts, logs no faults, shows no system warning and never drops into power restriction. That is the real difference from an emulator. An emulator fakes a sensor signal, but it cannot stop the ECU from issuing a dosing command. With the software, the dosing decision is never made, so no injection command reaches the AdBlue injector.
Why an emulator falls short on the Prestij
An emulator produces a fake signal in place of a removed sensor. On older-generation ECUs that was usually enough. The MD1CS069 is different: it checks the system not only through sensor values but also through the results of its own commands. Because the AdBlue dosing decision is made inside the ECU, the injection command keeps reaching the injector, however convincing the emulator's signal is.
That is exactly what we see in the field. Prestijs fitted with an emulator keep showing the system warning, and AdBlue injection carries on. Once the tank runs dry or the pump fails, the trouble starts all over again. With the software solution, dosing, monitoring and fault logic are switched off inside the ECU, so there is no signal left to fake and no command left to block.
What the software switches off
- AdBlue (SCR): The dosing strategy is switched off and the AdBlue pump and injector are taken out of the loop. All pump plugs are removed.
- NOx sensors: Monitoring of the upstream and downstream NOx sensors is switched off and the sensor plugs are removed.
- Exhaust temperature sensors: Every temperature sensor on the exhaust line is removed; the ECU no longer looks for these readings.
- DPF: Soot-load monitoring and regeneration logic are switched off; the vehicle never has to stop for a regen and shows no warning.
- EGR: EGR valve control and the related fault monitoring are disabled in the software.
Why a fault costs so much on a shuttle vehicle
The way a Prestij works is hard on exhaust aftertreatment. Staff and school shuttles cover short distances with frequent stops, and the vehicle idles for long spells in the morning and evening. The exhaust rarely gets hot enough for the DPF to clean itself, and soot builds up in the EGR circuit. The 12 litre AdBlue tank (per Temsa data) needs frequent refills on a busy schedule, and on cold mornings the fluid and its lines can freeze.
One sensor fault rarely comes alone. The NOx sensor gets replaced, then a few weeks later the pump or a temperature sensor fails. Each time the vehicle goes into the workshop and the run is covered by another vehicle or cancelled. With the software solution, none of these parts can produce a fault that stops the vehicle any more.
Is your vehicle suitable?
This service is for Temsa Prestij midibuses built in 2021 or later with the Bosch MD1CS069 engine ECU. Having the following ready before you ask for a price will speed things up:
- Model year: The model year on the registration document must be 2021 or later.
- Engine ECU: MD1CS069 should appear on the ECU label or on the ECU identification screen of your diagnostic tool.
- Chassis number (VIN): Send it on WhatsApp and we will check the vehicle details and come back with a firm price and a work plan.
- Current condition: Tell us if an emulator has been fitted before or if the ECU has already been tampered with.
How the job runs
- Pre-check: We take the model year, chassis number and a photo of the ECU label over WhatsApp, then confirm suitability and price.
- Software: A remote connection is set up, the engine ECU is read without opening its case, the original software is backed up, and software with AdBlue, DPF and EGR switched off is loaded. The software side takes about 30 minutes.
- Sensors and plugs: The exhaust temperature sensors, NOx sensors and AdBlue pump plugs are removed, along with any old emulator.
- Final check: Stored fault codes are cleared, the engine is started, and we confirm that the system warning and emission warnings stay off and that no power restriction appears under load.
Emulator or software? A quick comparison
- Emulator: An extra box and wiring are added to the vehicle to imitate sensor signals. On an MD1CS069 Prestij, the system warning and AdBlue injection can carry on regardless.
- Software: Nothing is added to the vehicle. Dosing, DPF, EGR and monitoring logic are switched off inside the ECU, so no injection command is ever generated.
- Scope: On these vehicles we are the only company doing this with software, removing all exhaust temperature sensors, NOx sensors and AdBlue pump plugs.
- Durability: There is no emulator box to fail, no plug to work loose and no add-on to let in moisture.
- Warranty: The work carries a lifetime warranty, valid as long as the ECU software is not updated at an authorised dealer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a device or software?
It is software. No emulator, extra box or wiring is fitted to the vehicle. AdBlue (DEF), DPF and EGR are switched off directly in the engine ECU software, and the related sensors and plugs are then removed.
Is the engine ECU removed or opened?
The ECU case is not opened. The work is done over a remote connection and takes about 30 minutes. Because the case stays sealed, the housing is left with no marks.
I had an emulator fitted and the system warning won't go away. Will the software fix it?
Yes, and it is the situation we meet most often on these vehicles. The MD1CS069 makes its dosing decision internally, so with an emulator fitted the warning can stay on and AdBlue injection can continue. Once dosing and monitoring logic are switched off in the software, the warning clears and no injection command is generated. The emulator is removed before the work starts.
Which sensors and plugs are removed?
Every temperature sensor on the exhaust line, the upstream and downstream NOx sensors, and all of the AdBlue pump plugs. The vehicle runs fault-free without them.
Is the EGR delete included?
Yes. Alongside AdBlue and DPF, EGR control and its fault monitoring are switched off in the same software job.
Why isn't the price shown on the website?
The price depends on the model year, the ECU software version and the vehicle's current condition. Send your chassis number and a photo of the ECU label on WhatsApp and we will give you a firm price.
Is there a warranty?
Yes, the work comes with a lifetime warranty. It stays valid as long as the engine ECU software is not updated at an authorised dealer or service centre; if the dealer updates the ECU, the software can revert to factory settings and the warranty ends.
How long does it take?
The software work takes about 30 minutes over a remote connection. With the sensors and plugs removed as well, the vehicle is back at work the same day.
Can the original software be restored?
A backup of the ECU's original software is taken before the work. If you want to go back, the original software is reloaded; the removed sensors and plugs then have to be refitted.
Do you also do pre-2021 Prestijs?
This service is for 2021-onwards vehicles with the MD1CS069 ECU. Older Prestijs may use a different ECU and need a different solution; message us with your chassis number and we will tell you what suits your vehicle.
Is there anything I should know legally?
Rules on emission systems vary by country and by type of use. This service is offered for off-road use, for testing and workshop purposes, or for use in regions where the regulations allow it. Making sure local rules are followed is the vehicle owner's responsibility.
